About the Opportunity
ISMG is launching a pioneering CXO Advisory Practice focused on cybersecurity and is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive new client acquisition. This is a foundational sales role within a high-growth business unit of a trusted global media and events organization. You'll join as one of the first team members with direct access to leadership and the ability to have an outsized impact on our early success.
This role is perfect for a high-performing sales professional with a consultative mindset, a solid grounding in the cybersecurity and/or technical services landscape, and an eagerness to close new business and be part of an exciting build.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a prospecting strategy to build a healthy pipeline of enterprise and mid-market accounts.
- Drive net-new business for executive cybersecurity consulting services (CXO advisory, fractional leadership, and strategic projects).
- Build trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, and cybersecurity leadership teams.
- Create and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Meet and exceed individual sales targets with strong activity and deal velocity.
- Represent ISMG at major cybersecurity conferences and events to drive awareness and leads.
- 3-5+ years of B2B sales experience, selling professional services, technical advisory, or contingent staffing services ideally within information technology or security fields.
- Foundational understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and comfort engaging senior tech/security leaders.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and client service skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to be hands-on as part of an early-stage team.
- Bonus: experience in early-stage environments, contributing to the creation of processes and go-to-market tactics.
- Be part of building a market-defining cybersecurity consulting practice.
- Competitive base plus uncapped commissions, with clear pathways to higher earnings.
