The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Administrator to help our organization strengthen sales strategies and solve business challenges through optimized use and data management of the Salesforce Platform.
ISMG’s sales division, which is the heartbeat of the organization, is dependent on the efficient utilization and operation of the Salesforce platform. As Salesforce Administrator, you will contribute to initiatives to maximize productivity by addressing challenges with effective data input/output, ensuring activity is properly recorded/documented, and providing comprehensive reporting and data analysis to help craft actionable strategies for improved results.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting users, managing data, maintaining security standards, and delivering actionable analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales lifecycle along with deep knowledge of Salesforce best practices and the ability to drive business success through innovative solutions, derived from data analysis of the platform.
Responsibilities- Salesforce Administration: Managing and supporting the Salesforce instance, including customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validations, workflow and approval rules, sharing rules, permission sets, and triggers.
- User Management: Creating and managing user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate access levels and data security.
- Data Management: Ensuring data integrity through data cleansing strategies, validation rules, and data import/export procedures – performing regular data audits and backups.
- Customization & Configuration: Adapting Salesforce to fit the organization’s unique workflows, processes, and data models by creating custom fields, objects, layouts, and user interfaces.
- Workflows & Automation: Designing and implementing automation such as flows, approval processes, and triggers to reduce manual tasks and increase efficiency.
- Reporting & Analytics: Building and maintaining custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide valuable insights into business performance and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Training & Support: Providing training, documentation, and ongoing support to users to drive adoption and effective use of Salesforce.
- System Upgrades & Maintenance: Performing system upgrades, installing high-priority updates, and ensuring optimal performance of Salesforce systems.
- Integration Management: Managing and maintaining data integrations with third-party software used across the business.
- Project Management: Leading and managing Salesforce projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with business partners across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to define and manage scoping, requirements definition, and prioritization activities.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Salesforce Administrator within enterprise B2B environments.
- Must possess one of the following Salesforce certifications: Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Service Cloud Consultant.
- Extensive experience in Salesforce management including setup and configuration.
- Advanced experience in Salesforce report creation and data analysis.
- Proficiency in designing, building, implementing, and testing Salesforce Flows.
- Familiarity with Salesforce best practices and ability to implement them effectively.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales, Service, Marketing, and/or CPQ Clouds.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and troubleshoot issues.
- Experience in managing Salesforce projects, including creating and maintaining project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring successful delivery.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively gather requirements, translate them into solutions, and provide training for users of various skill levels.
- Ability to keep pace with frequent Salesforce updates and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- In-office presence required 5 days/week, based out of our Princeton, NJ HQ.
